    Default Patience pays off...eventually

    It was beautiful morning...

Shu gave it a thumbs up so I knew something good was going to happen...

But we fished and fished, and waited and waited, and we caugh jack squat.

We were fishing deeper water and hardly even got a bite. So I said, OK, we're pretty much done, were just going to troll back towards the house and go over to a little less deep of water (7-9 ft). We switched out our deep diving crank baits to shallower running Arkie 220's to see what would happen.

Well low and behold, we started catching'em.

We did a few circles and caught some nice fish.

    Even caught Green Carp.

And they were swallowing'em. Not all were like this but it was exciting. Finally got on some fish on Griffin. Not a ton of keeper size fish, but all in all, Shu and I had a great time. We were really hopping the last quarter of our fishing trip today until the heat chased us off and we were done.

You two had a good day! Was this on Harris? Shoots the theory that there's only one fish there and you catch him several times. Way to go guys.

And I forgot to mention the best part. Shu made gewbers.

They are great. Love'em. Nothing at all like the slimey ones you buy on the side of the road. Never gonna do that again. Now shu has to keep me in gewbers! lol

Love me some boiled peanuts. Like mine in crab boil and looong cooked and loooong soaked. Best time to cook em is right after a crawfish boil. That seasoned up water does em up right fitting. Nice day fishing to boot.
