I could not believe it. Isn't that a Threadfin Shad. On Lake Griffin, I thought it was only loaded with Gizzard Shad. That's a small crank bait too. I use them like that with the fly on the rear hook for the short bites on Griffin. Look at the size of the snap on it compared to the bait. The baits come with the split rings which I always cut off. I believe it provides a better profile for the snap I use. Doing it this way places the snap sideways, and I think less visible (smaller profile).
