    Default St Augustine Fishing Trip

I'll be down for a few days and was wondering if anyone could recommend a person or place for a deep sea fishing trip. Haven't fished in salt water in years and thought I'd give it a try while I was down there.....Thx!!

I dont know that area, but if mentioned is booked either the Waterproof or Triple Header out of Ponce Inlet are superb. About an Hour to hour and half from St Augustine.

I have vacationed there many times but never went offshore. Just surfed fish and in the intercoastal water. Gave me something to do while family enjoyed the sun and water. Always managed to catch some Whiting,Pompano,Sharks,Rays,Spade fish, ladyfish, etc. And of course the infamous salt water cat. I never was there when surf fishing was at its best though. And I never took a boat and fished the intercoastal....I think I could have done some good...but I just never did.

If you want to venture down to New Smyrna, the Lady J is a good one Sport Fishing Charters, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Florida
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Tim, I don't know much and my info is dated but down around New Smyrna there's a guide I used a few times that always did well for me, inshore, mostly Redfish. Joe Porcelli out of Oak Hill. Smart individual. Was very well equipped and winning tournaments regularly.
