Nothing like a crazy hectic week at work...come home on a Friday afternoon, crack open a cold one and work on the boat :cheers2
I traded my 36v Fortrex for a 24v Terrova with iPilot. I also set up my HB 859 and connected it to the US2 on the Terrova. Got an ethernet cable ready for when I eventually add a finder to the console. I'm leaning towards a Helix 10, but still not sure.

I got the C-Monster upgrade kit for the power pole arriving tomorrow so that will be a nice added convenience and saves from buying a whole new system. For now I think I am fine with one pole, maybe will add a 2nd one down the road, but not a rush on that. Rod holders soon and back in the longlining business.

One nice thing about an older boat is that it forces you to learn and figure stuff out. I had sun rot on the live well switch so in the process of replacing that and cleaning the valve, I noticed a plumbing leak.
Been out of town all week on a training I got voluntold to attend, BUT...came home to this...

Got my flow rite parts to fix the livewell, the Helix 10 for the console, Cumberland Crappie double seat mount, and two 4-Rod Spyderloks (got two more 3-rod holders en route on backorder).
Gonna chill tonight with my girls, work on the boat tomorrow, and just maybe be on the water Sunday! I'll get some pictures up as the Ranger progresses in Crappie-Mode

Thank you sir! I am really excited to do some longlining again, been quite a while. At the same time, this boat is really easy to switch into bass-mode or gill-mode, loving the versatility.
My only complaint is hole shot, but that will be fixable with some prop work.

It is always a joy to add or replace things on the boat - cause its yours and it improves the boat
Made the boat feel better....
Anything you do to the boat - wash or wax it, clean the seats or repair something- its an inner proudness you get
cause its yours.(its part of you)
Everytime you sell a boat you lose part of yourself that was in that boat - especially the fond memories
good/bad or ugly- it happened in that boat.
You have memories of them all: 10 ft Sears (Eljin) alum river boat, 14 ft Starcraft Jon boat, 16 ft Starcraft Alum
semi v, 18 1/2 ft procraft (glitter boat) now 21 1/2 ft Big O boat (plus 16 1/2 ft Gheenoe)(16 ft rm canoe)still have,
all complete with memories that will always have.

Sorry, got off train of thought - Spyder locks are really nice to work with - only draw back is the amount of things needed to
set holder up to your liking. They have invested lots of machine work into a simple needed thing. Where as Tight-Loc's are not
fancie, easy to set up. adjust in track or tracks if you have move than one setting you wish to use - you have a 16 or 24 inch bar
you can purchase with unit- whereby, you can make your set up a 10 rod holder or 8 rod holder. and not change anything.
For those wishing the ultimate rod holder system up front - you can purchase from Driftmaster, Tite-Loc, and i believe Cumberland,
individual rod holders - rod hold adjustment, t-bar adjustment - track adjustment all separate (Yea ha added cost)
Talk to people at Astor Bait & Tackle (they stock Spyder lock systems and will work with you on cost equal to what Factory system
costs)
