Have heard of Canoe creek. Our memories preserve our loved ones and friends till we become a memory. But then we are with the ones we remembered.

Had a great day on the water with my son. Any day on the water with him is a blessing. Our conversation always revolves around my dad and the memories we both have spending time with him out on the lake.
We started early, finished late. We caught 33 Slabs, pictures are the 2 biggest, 2 Bass, 5 gills, and 3 catfish. As always long lining, flavor for the day was blue/silver.
Bass were schooling in Canoe Creek and was fun to watch them feeding. Had a 10 ft Gator lead the way down on the first trip down. The bite slowed down on the second troll and we decided to head to the open waters of Lake Cypress, It was a good choice, the fish hit steady till about 1130 then shut off completely.
Had to include a picture of dad trolling down the same spot back in the day, Yes we are in that same boat. Nuthing fancy but fancy does not compare to the memories.

This is the day the Lord hath made, rejoice and be glad in it.

Great pictures and catch, glad you were able to fish with your son.
way to go
Nice day for sure.
The traditional goes on, really good day, especially for this time of year...
crappie down !
Dad taught us well, no fancy electronics, just the boat, a keen eye, and a little patience. Dad would bring home from 15 to 187 (That was a heck of a day for him and my uncle). Year round, people in Kissimmee would follow him out to see where he was fishing and even being in his spots they could not catch em like dad did.
