And there's surely no flatheads in central Florida yet
since u caught em I guess u know what they are. take a look at FWC website as I did yesterday after I saw them tearing the heck out of the reads and the Crappie beds over here to try to get info on bass on the shorelines based anywayBass beds. say they do it every year now for 100 to 200 yards around every Lake at a time. No wonder my crappie have disappeared on the harris chain anyway that lead me to go to their website last nite where I found several years of stocking for all of Florida lakes. Catfish. Catfish. BmB. 2 other breeds of bass. bream. REDEAR. NO CRAPPIE ANYWHERE?? ANY LAKE IN FLORIDA. THE HARRIS CHAIN WHICH EVEN THEY ADMIT IS THE LOWEST FOR CRAPPIE ---NO RESTOCKING OF CRAPPIE. BUT, Bmb. catfish. SMELLS KINDA FISHY TO ME? The catfish they are using I bet are the one that I spoke of above, which I intend to confirm.Which is fine on behalf of catfish restock.
Just for conversations sake---Blue cat is more what im catching here. what color are yours?
It's a very controversial issue I've got buddies and biologists that will tell you there are no blues in the lakes and rivers further south than the gville area! I believe some of the fish I catch in Kissimmee are blues but,,,,, if you get scientific with it and count the Rays and diff characteristics all signs point to them being 100% channel cats!
Channel cats for sure. Too many markers pointing to channel cat. Tail fins and dorsal fins are more rounded than on a blue. But in the end they all DINNER so fry em up!
