    Default Boat Story...

I've been working on getting a new boat for the last few years. My buddy and I had a fishing trip planned to Gantt Lake in Alabama 2 weeks ago and I went to charge my batteries for my trolling motor and one of the batteries was dead. I had a Pro-Crappie 175 that was 11 years old and has caught quite a few crappie since we bought it new at the Bass Pro Shop in Orlando. However, I finally got fed up and went to Dothan to Boyd's Marine, since I now live in the Panhandle. I did a web search and found out that Boyd's had a tracker center in Dothan. So, the wife and I set out for Dothan since my Tracker had served me well. I put Boyd's marine into my smart phone and we made a beeline for it.

When we arrived, I walked in all excited and when I got through the door, I noticed that the boats inside were not Trackers. They were Rangers. When I spoke to the sales lady inside, she informed me that we were at the wrong store, and as most sales people would do, asked me what I was looking for. I told her we were interested in a Pro-Team 175. She said, "Well I think we might have something you would like a little better. Boy was she right. She walked us outside and around the corner and there sat "my dream boat". I knew from the moment I saw it, it was going to be mine. However, we were only planning to spend in the neighborhood of 15-20 grand. After looking at it, I thought this thing has to be at least 30. When I asked her the price, she said we can probably get you into it for less than 20. I was shocked! After a short negotiation, we got the boat for $18,500 including a terrova and a helix 9. I am now set up for what I hope is years to come of slab hunting with my family and friends. I have been wanting to fish tournaments for years, and now I think I finally have the machine to be able to compete. Here she is...Name: boat.jpg

Nice boat, and I like the way you think. Batteries die, get a new boat. I like that.

Sound like what my wife said when my aerator pump went out. She insisted we go and buy a new boat. Congrats on the boat, it's a real good looking boat. Good luck with it.
