Finally starting to find some Crappie. Actually I should say, Finally went fishing. First time I went fishing in two weeks. We've been house hunting, and finding the right house for mom (or mom and us) is not easy. Mom knows what she wants, but the problem is finding it. And I should not say first time fishing in two weeks, because mom and I have fished off the seawall to feed the Heron most evening. But anyway, Shu, Huntinslabs, Flycaster and I all attacked Griffin. And of the four boats, guess who found the the most fishies.

Shu above with whats prolly a 3-4 lg green carp among the Crappie he caught. Shu had a great time. HE actually caught this Bass twice, lost it the first time. It stuck around and he got him again.

We called Flycaster to get him into the action. HS did well longlineing but by this point he had already pulled his boat out. Beautiful day, with a geezer wind.

I caught four times my usual limit so I knew it was time to go home. Mom was waiting for lunch anyway.

Dang she can fry up some good tasting Crappie. Just about the same as the Blackened Crappie I made when Billbob was down here. And half the mess. And heck, I did not even have to do it! Thanks Mom great tasting and thanks shu for getting me into the fresh fish.

Was a GOOD day to be on the water with friends.
For me fishing was slow, but I was not out looking for my next meal.
THANKS Slab for the call to arms. Did catch a few after you left. The must have been your rejects.

Was following Flycaster to Slab's secret spot when the boat turned to the 'cane', fished 2" off bottom and caught a total of 25 fish on minnows and 'rooty tooty 309' jigs. First time have pulled all 25 beads on counter to the bottom. Good day of fishing and watched Slab catch the most I've ever seen, even if a lot of them were 9 15\16 inches. Mostly males so guess where they'll be next week?--shu

I was there with y'all today, I just wasn't in the boat. Did my normal Saturday and then cam home and replaced the pads, rotors and bearings on the pickup. Haven't been done long but now I can pull the other woman. Glad that everyone found some fish. I might make a showing somewhere close tomorrow morning, Might even hop in the canoe. I'll post some thing if I do. Conditions looked great today down in southeast Orlando. Jesup was really good and all the boats I saw were along the edges. So many people living in lakefront homes and few ever fish. Sacrilege!!!
