IRCAA tournament

Chad Smalley and they gang put on a awesome tournament over in fellsmere 101 people showed up in all directions in all diff forms of boats from airboat and duck boats to cc flats boats! It was a beautiful day for fishing! Me and my partner Rj fished the Garcia lakes side of things single pole jigging the deep shorline of the canals while many others fished lake blue cypress and stick marsh! The fishing was on fire me and Rj boated over 50 fish by 11:30 and kept 29 we headed to the way in around 12:00 they're was a payout for three biggest and payout for big fish $1062 for each position with 101 competitors, our three biggest was 4.1 and biggest fish was 1.7!! We placed third over all with 4.11 being the winner and big fish weighing in at 1.10!! IRCAA put on a feast for the competors that was out of this work wich included fried fish, hush puppies, collards, and cheesy grits! We stuffed our bellies and with rain in the distance we started our treck back to the 512 ramp!!!

Bigslab 11 is the Farm 13 part of the reservoir still open enough to drift fish or spider rig or is there to much grass in it? I'm coming down their in a few weeks and taking my 97 year old grandfather fishing. Haven't been there in a few years. Thanks if you can help.

I fished garcias I have never been to any of those areas in the past so can't give much info on anything other than garcias!

Grass is not a problem in Farm Pond 13.

Depends on how recovery level moves along Rick - may come down for moral support
for group. Most of us stay at Pink Flamingo -they have boat hook ups, cleaning station & Micky Dee's next door
Right on 441 in Okeechobee - several bait shops in area close.
