    Default Time from woodruff

    Fellas, thinking about fishing from highland fish camp south to 44 bridge or reverse. How long is that run??
    Heading down in the morning, be there late

    Thanks;

    Three miles slow speed from highland park to river....then about a mile to the bridge.

    If you leave out of Tedders Fish Camp in Deleon Springs, you can ride wide open all the way to Woodruff, minus the last 500ft or so. From there, not sure but it takes me 15 min or so from launch to fishin' in my little 14' w/15hp. It's well worth the extra 10 minute drive past Highland. And Pops, the owner of Tedders, is awesome!!

    I have never put in there. Is the ramp decent...big enough for an 18? Secondly, how shallow is the mouth of the run leading into Woodruff? I was screwing around a couple of weeks ago in Woodruff and started entering the run and it showed about a foot under my keel. Since I never went that way, I got a bit hesitant and turned around.

    It's not the biggest nor the nicest ramp in the world. For as many boats that use it at $5 a head, Pops should've had it upgraded a long time ago. I've seen some pretty big boats go in and out of there so an 18 definitely will be fine and if it's your first time there, pops will show you how to get to the creek mouth if you don't have a GPS. It's shallow and I've heard of people running aground or mucking up their engines but as long as you follow Pop's instructions, you'll be fine. You'll save a lot of fishing time putting in there!!

    I have a 17.5 scout and the shallowest I get is 2.5 ft on a plane across the entrance to the creek

    Liberty hound, are you catching and fish at Woodruff these days. I'm thinking about making a trip down from Crescent city.
