I used em for 2 years faithfully. Quit using it on the stained waters and see no difference. But if I was going to one of the clear lakes with no tannin I would just for peace of mind. But thats just me and my thinking.

I have been having some fun with a little spider rigging, is it an advantage to use fluorocarbon leaders in this stained water?
I know, I could try it and see for myself, but it is much easier, if I ask you guys in the know.
Thanks in advance,

After 9 years - being on first name basis with Vanish 4 & 6 lb - i went back
to CLEAR MONO for my leader - use various main line colors - HiVis - Camo
and red ..........
Have not noticed any big difference between clear & flourocarbon
No advantage.
Just read carefully and realized what your doing. In the case of pre tying rigs, I would use flourocarbon just because. Not much more for a spool of vanish than a spool of trileneXL.
I tie direct even with braid and see no difference. I had more failures at the knot when trying to free a hung jig that caused me to just tie direct and deal with it. To each his own though.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
have had over the years more breakoff's at the loop knot with the carbon vs
mono, when going brain dead lifting a spec of weght into boat without the
asistance of a net
