Pterodactals! Pretty area over there. You want to see some fish jumping go to the Suwanee when the Sturgeon are in spawning. 6' behemoths clearing the water by about 4' is pretty amazing.

Yeah right, we tried and tried, and could not catch a single crappie.
But I did see one jump clear 3 feet out of the water, not sure if it was a speck though!

I love the drive system on my yak, very quiet too. Except when you splash it with water. doh
Had to post the Pelican pics for wifey. She thought she was being dive bombed.
We went to Fort Island Gulf Beach area. Real nice place. Small beach, boat launch, nice kayaking. Seen fish in the water, and even that one that jumped clear out. Tide was coming in. Weeds, and sand. Watch out for those big rocks though, there are sharp edges on them, clams shells. Scraped up my yak good, dang it.

The only specks in Crystal River are speckled trout never heard of anyone 'speck' fishing there. Pretty water and a few boaters though.--shu
