Wow! !
Indeed ! ! ! !
There "IS" an eerily glow ! ! ! !
I've seen lotsa bubbles bubbling up in there on past fishing trips....
Smelled like sulfer, small animals laying dead everywhere.
Once, a large bubble came up beneath the boat and about flipped us, it was hot water too......
Always got bubbles poping on the surface and releasing puffs of smoke, sometimes making
a fog looking atmosphere = stink of sulfer something awfull ! ! !
Yeah, I know where ya at ! ! ! ! ! ! ....................

What color jigs do yall have the best success with fishing that black water? I have a slough near the house that looks similar to that and it's full of crappie they're just hard to catch. I think they are seeing my line or something. I'm used to fishing muddy water on grenada lake, not black/clear water.

If there is not a shad population in it they are likely chasing minnows, or bugs. Try some of them itty bitty baits by Bobby Garland. I would swing black/chartreuse, sweet tea/lemon and tadpole at em. If there is shad same color variations just larger profile bait. Doubt your line is bothering them, but could try a flourocarbon leader if suspect. But I betcha them itty bitty's get bit. Couple slews round here I stroll into in my kayak that them itty bitty's wear em out cause there is no shad gettin back there and they are chasing them mosquito fish and water bugs..
