Default Going to try again, looking for a serious fishing partner.

    Hi,

My name is Marv, I have lived in N. Lakeland Florida, a little over a year. My passion is fishing, my favorite saying is " I'd rather fish than eat"! If you saw a photo of me, you would also know I like to eat! Ask Harold, (fishin813)

I bought an older Bass Tracker Pro 160, have been fishing a few nearby lakes and also Tenoroc area. I tried fishing the winter Haven Chain of Lakes, found out they are better for bass fishing. I want to concentrate on the Crappies ( Specks).

Many of you guys on CDC have helped me tremendously with my questions, I am very grateful for that. I thought I had found a fishing partner, but his health became an issue, just wasn't working out for him.

Anyhow long story, shorter. I am looking for a fishing partner ( NOT TOURNAMENT), that would like to go after Crappies, at least once, if not twice a week. Someone who is serious, but has a good sense of humor, hopefully a person who has more experience fishing crappies than I do.

I am not an amateur by any means, been fishing all my 72 years. LOL

Thanks for listening, please send me a PM f interested.

    Regards,

    pescador aka/ Marv

    Thanks Mike,

Appreciate your sense of humor and always your help! Good thing I don't live closer to you, I'd be knocking on your door!

By the way, LOVE dogs, lost our little snoopy over 12 years ago. Maybe another dog one day, when I can't fish or travel anymore. It's too hard for me to leave them, I treat them like family. ( maybe better).

Tucker(brown dog) that everyone on here knew so well was my best fishing partner ever. Even watched my poles for me. He was poisoned in the spring and trying to get Jake(brown and black dog) up to speed. He enjoys it just not with the verosity of brown dog yet. But we'll get him there. But he goes everywhere with me/us and loves camping. They are family for sure.

I wished I could take you up on that invite, but I'm prolly not a great candidate for a fishing partner... only because of the distance from NC to Florida... but I am certainly not above a trip some day for a week or a weekend of fishing. It is on my bucket list to visit many states, lots of great lakes and many CDC acquaintances across the US when and if I am blessed enough to make it to my retirement years.

Send a pm to Yelim, he lives in Plant City area - maybe you two might be able
    try a couple runs together...
Once i get clearence to get on boat again - i will take you with me on couple trips.
Kissimmee - Arbuckle - Walk-in-Water - work on spider rigging, and some long-lining.
Presently restricked to bank till at least Sept 20th- nothing of lifting pressure more
than 5 lbs - rules out working with "long poles"

Man you guys are fighting it just to get to fish, and my heart goes out to you. So far I'm able to solo, but I know how easy it is for that to change. Some years back the wife got a bit short with me about going so much. I don't follow any ball, just learned a little golf, and my job has me traveling. I told her that I was going to go as much as I could while I could because one day I would be forced to stop. I've been broken several times and I'm fortunate. Since then she lets me go all I care to, and I do my best to make my home time count. My plate will be full for a few weeks and I will put a shout out should I have room in the boat when the time comes. Hope you find a local to fill your needs......Skeet.

Oh bummer. I didn't know that. I posted about him on your other thread. So sorry to hear it... :-(
