Lake Weir - fishing

What is known about Lake Weir ?

Anyone been on it past couple months
to give some type of Spec report?

FWC told me this am that lake had been
pretty good past years - but started really
slowing down, size & catch rate. Not much
information avail so far this year.

Bad. No fish over a lb. Very scattered except in cold weather. Most are caught jigging brush piles. Nice lake and ramp though. Are deep areas, 20-25 ft. Deep trough between lake wier and sunset harbor.

Crappie USA tournament held last July 26 included Lake George & Lake Weir

All contestants fished Lake George...............none will on Weir....................

Turnout was so low that Don't believe they put it on schedule for 2015....

I gotcha. I have only talked to people who have bass fished it. All complain about the amount of pleasure boats and skiers.
