Florida fishing report from deep south.
The conditions on lake Okeechobee have been improving over the last couple of weeks since the tropical storm skirted the state. Wind has been steady out of the east which is good for fishing the rim canal around the lake. Crappie have been biting in 8 to 10 feet of water, with cork set 18" to 24". The next few weeks should be ideal for limiting out on our favorite slabs. Get out and have some fun!

Good post - thanks for update.............
Have you been up into river to the Lock area (weirs)
Usually this time of year they should be working heavy in there - grabbing food
from current of lock opening.
