    Default I'm lost

I can't catch crap pie or any thing else on crescent lake. We purchased our getaway house on the lake in march and only been out 4 times so far but none of the techniques i apply from my little knowledge seem to produce much, my wife thinks i have lost it. I used to be a guide and tournament angler in the 80s and 90s on Okeechobee and did well. Dose anyone know if there any good reading or info on this piece of water I need help.

I have never fished it between April & October - always been there during the cooler months & have done well in Crescent.

If I was to fish it now - I would try Dead Lake or the creeks.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Closer to run boat from Dunn's creek to Dead lake than to trailer 40 plus miles
    around to lauch point........

Should have a map of Crescent Lake for sale
Any of the Lake Master or Navonics chips for GPS
will or should have a detailed contour map.

Work the St Johns - Dunn's Creek
They are pretty much scattered this time of year..... but still around
Go down to main launch dock on lake street by 3bananas bar & grill
    talk with locals.

The brim really turn on down there in the summer lots of fun. I think this year the weather made it tough on the weekends. Guys would be catching during the week and then a cold front would come thru for the weekend. I would try trolling at the mouth of dunns creek.

It's bluegill and shell cracker time down there. People travel many miles this time of year to hit those bream down there. I wish I was pitching a cricket down there myself. Crappie are a little scattered from the spawn. Jigging pads, bulrushes or lay downs will produce. You just got to find the prime spots.

Try fishing shallower water close to inner crab pots. Pots are on a drop 5 to 7ft. Spider rigging outside edge will produce nice fish.

Thanks everyone for much needed advice. I have herd good things about the bluegill population and will switch to that very soon. I need to get that first speck in the boat so I can get some confidence back. If I could only find one of those prime spots
