I like an ultralight or light action spinning combo, but bream busters is what most use. The shell crackers love a red worm near or on the bottom.
When I first started fly fishing I took a casting course from a local Orvis store. The instructor, who had a sense of humor, was identifying the different flies to use and mentioned that sometimes he resorted to a live worm. He said if someone asked what he caught the fish on he said a "Garden Nymph".
