Thread: Interesting project AKA I lost my mind

Had a friend who had this boat at his house, Parked under a tree for the past 10 years, He told me if I wanted it to come and get it, so I did, The bad, No title as the boat was given to his dad without a title from the brother of the last titled owners brother. I know the title issues can be a booger to wade thru but I will do no work on the hull till a title is in hand.
It is a 1982 Bayliner Capri with an 85 Force and the trailer is in great shape, just pulled it out of the bushes, the tires were 6 inches deep in the ground, aired them up and towed it the 56 miles home with no issues.
The floors are shot, all the interior panels are shot, Transom is solid as a rock as is the hull. Basically I would build the interior of the boat to suit my needs. This would be the second time I have done this type of build, the last was with my dad and a boat he got out of Ga. that one had all the paperwork.
Already had the HIN numbers checked and there are no reports as far as being stolen so that is the first step, Next I will go to the tax collector and see what I will need to do. If anyone has any ideas pleas pass along either in this thread or in private message.
