Long lining is the only way I fish for slabs, the majority of these were caught with the jigs only 10 to 15 feet behind the boat trolling on my lowest speed in about 8 foot of water.

Thanks Swamp, Had a great weekend overall, 23 Sat. no throw backs, and 27 with 1 throw (oops 1 over limit) back on Sunday (the others were my son's)
Thinking of hitting Toho again this SAt. then Sunday I will be headed to Canoe Creek.

Nice looking mess of fish. Brings back a lot of memories. I was born and raised near Lake Toho and fished it for a lot of years before relocating to Georgia. You might say I miss it a lot.

Nice pics, especially the one with your son & how the Florida sunshine glistens off that golden speck, way to represent! BTW if that is a ice pole he is holding it musta been some kinda fight.

we long nine and use 4 ice poles, the allow a good stagger to keep tangles to a minimum, with 10-12 rods out every little bit helps. One of the ice poles outfishes all the others, cant explain it, but it sure is a fun fight to get them in.
