Tavares Florida Crappie Masters on Lake Dora - Media Day Kickoff

Today I fished the Crappie Masters Media Day event with Dan Dannenmueller & Garrett Steele. The official competition for the pro's is tomorrow and Saturday. Looks like it's going to be a good one, that is, if the weather holds. We had a great time fishing together. We hooked into quite a few Crappie, and even an 8 pound kitty that took out three of our lines! doh

Make sure you come down to the event tomorrow for the weigh in at Wooton Park. It's certain to provide some good info on the health of our great lake system here, the Harris Chain. I know first hand that the fishing has been getting better and better here. This has been the best year for me in the three years I've been down here.

If you need a Crappie.com decal, and you see me at the event, do not hesitate to ask me for one, I should have some on hand. I'll be there taking pics tomorrow and Saturday. See you there.

Some nice fish were caught, and even some itty bitty's.




We came in fourth. Not a great showing, but not terrible, and either way, I won because I had a great day on the water. You can not beat that with a stick.
