Another Lake Monroe slabfest is the books. It was great to have phantom309 back with us and a few folks from as far away as Michigan.

"Dar" from the Michigan forum joined us and it was a pleasure to meet and talk with you.

Leapinlineman also joined us and meeting you was a pleasure as well.

Inman59 and crawfish from way south of here made up and it was great to see you guys again. We know you don't make it often because of the distance but you're always welcome.

Crappieslayer and squirrelman.....I don't think I met you but I know you were on the sign up page and if you were there thanks for coming and I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you...and then again maybe I did meet you....busy time!

As usual I'm sure I forgot somebody.

It was like a July day...HOT... the bite was good but they seemed to be on the smaller side. All week the prefishing indicated we were gonna have some monster weights but the fish had a different plan. Food food food food and plenty of it....fish, wings, shrimp, all the extras and on top of that dessert too. It was great to see everyone!!

The Phantom does not allow his picture to be taken anymore ! !
Speckanator, I was watching you sweating and working your butt off doing all that fixin and cooking = that's a LOT of work you do (plus fishing)....
Wanted to stay till cleanup time to help but my partner (John) wasn't feeling too well, was wanting to lay down etc, etc, so we daparted.
And to everyone, especially the girls, who helped put on the foodstuffs = thank you for your efforts for sure........
Was nice seeing everyone, was a good time, cept for that dad-gummed sun = got pretty hot out there (think it got to my partner) ......
Special Tx's to Crappyday, will let you know when we get some shrimping action over this way, etc, etc ......
    Love all you guys ........

Thanks to all for the hard work and great food, congrats to the winners.
It got warm but we had a nice day, good to meet some new people and see some
    old faces, I mean regulars
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

SORRY for the mixup with the reported weights. I neglected to check the scales for the proper readout.
