I better post lest I be one of them!! LOL
Used to live in GA where an older gent taught be a bit about spider riggin and catchin Crappie....what a blast. But I only did a bit of that. He is gone now and I've been out and about with the military (not crappie fishin). But Im retired now and back home in FL. Planning to do some saltwater fishing but when the time is right, we have a river and that means a different kind of fun!!
I'm back here on CDC refreshing myself and trying to figure out how to catch slabs without spider riggin (that was mostly in the spring as I recall).
Take Care All...hope to see you on the water.
Most of the better teams on FCC circuit "Spider Rig" year around.
Some lakes at various times of year will give up better quality fish on Long-lining.
Long-ling to me is good to cover ground - Spider rigging hones in on location
Love both..............
Thank you and welcome to our group.... keep up your posts.......and responses.
welcome slabbatical................Just curious.....what area of Florida are you?
Hit the nail ( or is that crappie) on the head Ginny. Miss ya
Oh yeah thats a good one. I coupdnt figure out what that was. We figure here we can shrimp, eat some use some to catch mangos, use the mango carcass in the crab traps and add some tomatoes from the tomato garden... lol. Now if someone could teach us how to distill some corn or something.... lol.
