We will be home in Inverness in 2 weeks. Still pounding the crappies/bluegills here in upstate NY. Have fished Henderson and Hernando Pools a lot since moving to Inverness in 05 but have not caught many Crappie, lots of Bass and Pan Fish. Turner Camp road launch has always been good for Pan Fish, Launch just off SR200 near Stump Knockers isn't bad, I don't care for the launch on 44 cause you have to park across the road. Have fished Lake Rousso and the launch on the Barge Canal a lot. Have not launched in Inglis yet but plan to this Fall but have launched once from KP-Hole and got lots of Bass/panfish and the Rainbow river is beautiful. Will try to post new info after we have fished them more this Fall. The launch on SR44 near Wild Bill's airboat ride is nice but the river can be shallow and there is a small launch by the Inflatable Dam. Heard lots of good things about the Floral City pool and the launch is really nice. We are going to try out near the power lines soon.
Thanks for update PM
We have tournament on November 22nd, on Lake Henderson,
Will be using the Public Ramp on Hwy 44. Welcome to come out and
join event of come for weigh in.
I have caught a few in Floral City area, but nothing special. VERY pretty area.
Have u ever launched the tournament out of Henderson fish camp?
Floral City has some dandy spots in it..........connections to two other lakes
around a curve and under couple bridges...........
Attached are couple pictures that Stanley West / Bill Bercaw caught 63 spec's in
two hrs, kept 50 that weighed in at 52 lbs. 4.5 oz. - This was back in Nov. 2010.

This will be first tournament FCC has had on Henderson - I believe the 44 ramp
is where old Henderson Fish used to be before they built new docks.
If it is i stayed there by in 95 couple days working that lake.
We tried to put this on schedule last year but water level was to low..........
This will be the ramp comming into Inverness on 41 & junction with 44 ramp on
one side of road and parking lot across street.
Fished Tasal Apopka in days gone by. Drove a Model A Ford from Tampa to Hernando once. We camped with some friends that bought property on the lake. I think it was Henderson. Caught a lot of Bass and mudfish and catfish. Water may be up enough to fish some potholes. There are springs in some of the Bonnet fields if you can find them. My brother had a place on Panasofkee that he caught a lot of bass but not many specks.
Glad you said Model A Ronnie, thought for sure you were going to say "took the buggy
and ole maude" up there, took almost 2 days, cut enough branches to make a lean too.
fished out of old indian dug out.
That was the first trip, Harold. I don't remember telling you about that one. Were you watching me?
