Default Summer Long lining in Crescent Lake

Pretty new to Crappie fishing, and what I know TC Lloyd has taught me. My question is will long lining work in the summer time?

Shame the 2 guys that knew Crescent best, SYG and Slabkeeper, have left the building. Go give it a shot!

Last summer I longlined exclusively at various lakes. Great way to cover lots of territory and won't take long with the fishfinder to see what depth they're holding at that is oxygen rich. Only change I employed was upping the speed (and sometimes weight) to get those good reaction bites. I would still start at about 0.8, but often ended up in the 1.1 - 1.4 mph range. Best of luck, its fun if you can stand the heat!
