where the fish go

got on the lake at 6am this morning and left at 11am ,,,caught 1 yes 1 bluegill,,my brother caught 3, no keepers,,,,using grass shrimp,,,we cover 150 yards,,we went both shallow and deep....this was a regular lake that we know

Went to my moms for dinner tonight and strolled down to her lake and saw signs of a huge hatch. I always called em Mayflies but not sure. But do know from when I lived there years ago, unless ya had a fly to match em, game over. Maybe your lake has had a recent hatch as well.

Spent 3 hours on Old Lk Davenport today, only 1 -2# bass to show for it and I was trying for panfish. Must be the fronts passing thru or something.

well I feel better...it was nice to be out but still nice to catch something...I guess the old saying,,(its fishing not catching)
