If a speckle perch female forms a egg sack, and is full of eggs, does she spawn if water conditions don't get right for here? If she doesn't go on the bed what happens to her eggs? Are the eggs absorbed back into her body? Or does she just hold them till conditions get like she needs?

Some will dissolve the eggs. Others will die. Many times the 12 inch plus females will die during a spawning period where extreme conditions occur. Most younger fish will spawn, this is why the 8-10 inch are the ideal spawners. Numbers show they lay the most eggs and have a greater retention rate.
