    Default Beauclair this morning

Went with a couple of CdC outlaws this morning and did great....considering.... First of all the WM said 4 to 5 MPH winds for most of the morning....dat ain't what happened. We had probably 10 to 12 with much higher gusts most of the morning. We managed to catch one nice keeper in Carlton then headed for quieter water. That didn't work either so we were packed and ready to head home when we decided to give the east shore line of Beauclair a shot. Didn't kill em but in about an hour or so we bagged another four nice ones before heading in. All in all it was a good day with slab in my boat and flycaster in tow.......together I think we had around 9 or 10 nice fish most in the 12" to 13" range. Then we headed to 5 GUYS for a heart attack special!!

Thinking about tomorrow....WM says light winds again...have to see what it looks like in the morning!! WM has been known to be wrong.....most of the time!!

Cleaned and filleted the fish. One male fish 10 inches. The rest were females and the roe does not look like it should be spilled this month. Eggs to small, altho there is visible evidence of veining around the egg sacs.

We had a good day after all even with that wind. The forecast was way way off.

I could not eat the rest of the day with all them greasy fries in my gut from that burger joint.
