The Duck Commander poles are over priced just for the duck name. BnM west pionts are the same at about half the price.

Take a look at Pro Angler Crappie rods. I read some good reviews on another website. www.proanglertackle.com

Deep-South or Wally Marshall are my choice. However, Deep-South is no longer
available. Pflger 4410's are my choice of reel - extremely smooth 4-6-7 ball bearings
    for around 22 - 30.00...
    Hi-tek puts out a reasonable priced rod - 22- 26.00 don't come in 14 or 16' s
Wally Marshall can go a long as 18 ft.
