    yes - there are large spec's in it. you are restricted to size of motor allowed on
    canal and they will make you pull your prop if you have motor larger than allowed....
    They open and closing hrs........and its a pay launch area.

    Where in Tampa is the bypass canal?



    I only fish The Coon cause that's where I keep my toon.

    East side of Tampa between Tampa and Brandon
    can get to the canal off Columbus Ave - Hwy 301 - Hwy 92 (Bills bait shop on 92)
    Also hwy 301 has a launch ramp on it north of I-4 approx 2.5 miles

    Depth is from 5 - 21 ft deep 4 dams or restricktions to keep Salt Water from
    Intrution.

    Be sure to give us a report if you fish the canal. Specks and gills have been caught around the I-4 bridges in the past.
