Tarpon is an excellant fishery..............producing very good eating fish in the
    11-14" bracket - 1.25 - 1.50.................have seen several in the 2 lb catagory
but only heard rumors of those 3 pounders - never saw or caught one yet.

Good pictures - thanks for sharing

FCC holds 2 tournaments a year on this lake..................

    Next one is November 23rd.

    nice fishes
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Was also out this day with good bite 10-11 am. Caught about 30 crappies and kept 18 in the 10-12 1/2 inch range. All trolling about 1.25mph. They had a definite preference for marabou over plastic. Fished the south side out of John Chestnut park.
Red or pink jig heads, with char or yellow bodies. 1/16 or 1/32. One 5lb bass and bout 10lb gar. Was grateful for the time on the water. Just moved here recently from Oregon. My 4th trip to Tarpon Lake. I appreciate all the postings on the lake, very helpful.
