Thank you for the info guys. fishin813 thank you you seem to know the spot. Wish the locks were open a bit. Seem to do better when there is some flow to the water. Will be there again Saturday morning with my son. I also want to hook into 1 of those big fish I see rolling at the surface. My oh my what a fight I belive that would be.
Those are Gar and/or Mudfish...................not good eating, will put up excelant
fight, have teeth (do not lip them)
If you continue on south, will come to Overstreet Landing - dirt road going
west to Overstreet. That is east side of Lake Kissimmee, they have alumn
docks, might be able to fish off them - unknown if people catch anything there
off docks, nor if they have rentals ... do have camp ground, bait shop, small
lunch area (resturant)
Might look into going over to west side of West Toho and find the Toho locks
from West Lake Toho to Lake Cypress. (Toho canal) have seen cars, trucks
parked near the locks and people fishing the canal with is like Canoe creek,
cut in 3 levels. Crappie fishing is excellant in Toho Canal during winter months.
Overstreet landing phone # 800 347-4007 or 407 436-1966
Might do some exploring down Shingle Creek off hwy 17 south into
West Lake Toho...........have been up it from Lake end and it always
looked very interesting to me, might be several places you could bank fish from
Looks like my son and I are going to try somewhere different tomorrow morning. Thank you fishin813. Never thought of Overstreet dont know why. I cant wait for my son to fish in a new spot. I thought they were gar fish. Caught a mud on my ultralite pole what a fight. It was about 4 pounds. Making my drag sing. I love that sound. If ya ever see 2 guys in a gold saturn stop and say hello. Thanks again for the new spots fishin813.
Toho canal here we come. Nobody bother with that canal because we are going to fish it out. I will leave the bream and bass just so someone can catch something.
