Default Has anyone ever fished Lake Buffum ?

    Lake Buffum, Polk County
    1,585 acres was water varying
from 18' deep to 4 ft. Somewhat
    difficult access unless someone knows
someone with boat ramp access. Limited
number of homes. Over years have
repretation for producing 3 lb plus spec's.

Curious is anyone has ever fished this lake..
can reply on forum or send me pm...

How long ago was that picture taken? The rainy season has been strong in the bartow area this year. Maybe the lake is up more now and the public ramp is accessible?

    pictures shown were taken 5/24/111

pictures below were taken yesterday- we used a Gheenoe to put in with.
Put it on ground and pulled it to water maybe 30' (sure miss the derek that
    i usually launch it with)
Yelim & i worked hard getting into water...
Above average on clearness of lake - has to be spring fed, looked for creeks and
ditches -(none) did not locate any hydrillia - heavy winds out of east reduced the
time spend working lake with only trolling mtr - 1500 acres plus fair size lake. pic #1
below is reverse looking from lake back at ramp area ( water up maybe 1 1/2 ft)
    caught couple 3 -4 lb. bass, 6 -7 medium size specs (8 -11") long-linedName: camera pictures 109.jpg

Looks like a cool trip !!
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
