Took lower unit down to boat shop this morning = Guy says housing in too tight, had to destroy it getting it out (plastic SUCKS) ! ! ! ! (but they love it) ! ! ! ! !........................
Told him to go ahead and replace oil seals and housing ....
Will be a couple days (ordered parts) before I get it back from them ...................
I still get to replace prop shaft seals (got a good video on that) .......
Good luck Danny!!
Ginny
Sorry to hear about your problems Danny. Sounds like you gave it a good try and things didn't work out. I would be afraid to tackle that job myself. Good luck with getting back on the water.
Got foot back today = $130.00 to learn how to remove housing ........
The guy just drilled a couple holes and screwed a couple screws in it so he could grab it and pop it out ........
You can see where he chipped it by trying to pry it out with a screw driver (what I was originally afraid of doing).
Hmmmmph ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
I sense some sarcasm, however I did learn how to throw a cast net from watching you tube videos.
Got tired of paying for shrimp for bait and not using much, bought a cast net, practiced in the back yard while Terry was at work, then showed him what I could do when he got home... lol.
I've been the net b**** ever since!
Love youtube videos.
Ginny
If your the net b**** does that make Terry the master baiter?? :Rofl :Rofl :Rofl
