    Default Black crappie

Caught some big males today. The wind blew around 20mph all morning but I found some nice big male that were fanning some beds. Check out there tails in the photos, you can tell they been working hard. The weather has been terrible around here, I spent 3 days at Kerr reservoir last week and did not do very good, Bad weather and high winds.

    Some 15.50" blacks

This is what you might hang into at Kerr Lake (Buggs Island)

    http://www.crappie.com/crappie/conte...-rod-king.html

A copy and past from that link:
Yes Miss Slab slept pretty close to me last night! I caught the Fish on the Virginia Side of the Lake. Its got the markings of White Crappie but the Spines of a Black Crappie. Its probably a Mix. I'm pretty sure it would go down as a Black Crappie, But not 100% sure. Newly I have not caught a Crappie this year on my Homemade Jigs. I have not used them alot. However the Best Color for me this year has been Chartreuse. She came on that Color. I was in 8 ft of water fishing 4 ft deep. and i had just let a Monster get off right before that one hit on the other side of the boat. They were thumping it! shaking the whole Rod Holder Base when they sucked it in. I've never seen anything like it in my life when she rolled up out there about 20 ft away from the boat on 4 pound line and a 16ft pole. She ran right for the Trolling Motor. But God and only God kept her out of it. when she fell in the net i dropped my pole and used both Hands to pick her up out of the water. She filled the net up! i amost got sick . just from pure excitement! i was shaking like i had just killed a 300 lb White Tail 26 Points. Whew But i got her! Thank you Jesus!

I have several, last week I spent 3 days on Kerr lake and did not do very much. Should have been a hot time for the spawn. The last 4 trips have been very slow action. Yes I do have bad days, just hope that you have more good days than bad.

    real nice fish
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
