    Default Awards Presentation

    Ladies and Gentlemen, fishers of all kinds;

    It gives me great pride to be here today, presenting to, what must be the finest, most wonderful exponents of fishing in this country. It is also an honor that I have been given an opportunity to represent my forum, Florida/Crappie.com at such a huge occasion and to present this award !

    They say fortune favors the brave and it indeed takes a lot for folks to compete with each other, throw smack, insults and other nasties at each other and no one becomes offended. Many of us can fish, but hopefully the exhibition of talent we saw yesterday might inspire our hidden talents to come forward!

    It was a tough competition, the level of performances has been absolutely top-notch. But the one performer, the Georgia forum/Talquin guys, stood out because of their sheer determination, talent, energy and performance and will take home the prize. So without further ado, the winner of this competition is "Lake Talquin guys/ Ga forum" !

    Congratulations Ga forum/Talquin guys !

    I now present you with the official CDC trophy that was presented to us back in the fall.
    Great job guys ! ! ! ! !

    The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

    Who in the heck wrote that for Danny???? I was almost impressed when I read this and then it hit me...He wrote this last night after Happy Hour at The VFW and waited till this morning to post it....In all honesty, there is an awful lot of truth to what you said, Danny!! They say fortune favors the brave and it indeed takes a lot for folks to compete with each other, throw smack, insults and other nasties at each other and no one becomes offended. With all the insults, nasties and smack that was thrown at each and everyone of us, we all just laughed at it and dug deeper to throw something back, which in turn has made us better friends and better crappie fishermen and women. So as Danny would say, without further ado, I accept the trophy on behalf of Team Talquin and you will be welcome to see it displayed at Lake Talquin Lodge the next time you visit our Championship Lake!!

    Looking forward to the next Throwdown between these 2 fine lakes!!!!!!!!

    just 2 cents...............Monroe is a fine lake..................But Crescent vs Talquin would be the real deal

    PS. We still claim Crescent as a Central Florida Lake, and a gem at that.................as you know TNT...................Now THAT would be the poo!

    Crescent vs Talquin 2014? ................. a heavyweight battle
