Default Monroe gave up a few today

Pushed up 11 this morning...lost half that many. Mostly keepers... no trophy size yet.... but at least they're active. Looks like it's gonna be a good fall. Perfect weather, a slight ripple on the water and low wind. I didn't look at the water temp. The bear came out around 10:30.

    that's all I got,
    Mike

Oh well, Just think of all the fishing you saving for someone else........"A Good Fishermen". I heard Lake Talquin has been drawn down reel low. Think they were getting ready for all the water from hurricane. Heard you can't put in?

I am surrounded by wet structures, coast to coast...........I make a mad dash for the wire friday 5pm and turn off the phone for a blessed 72 hours. Im pretty sure im on the water somewhere, then again I could just passout and sleep for like 16 hours. Monroe could be a nice option. Thanks Mike!

Nice report Speckanator Mike! So is 'pushing' the 'in' method this season? I seem to be hearing about it more often from some historically pulling people.

My I've always tight lined but I also pull a couple at the rear of the boat sometimes. Pushing allows me to turn on a dime if I get into something and want to go back through for another shot. It also allows you to fish right over structure or bait pods without guessing and it's easier to keep lines clean of trash and regulate your depth. Pole goes down...pull fish in....no reeling. Your enemy are GAR or CATFISH or STRIPPER but I think that messes everybody up. I know there are some who disagree but I'm too old to care!!
