    Default mid summer check in

Hope everyone is doing well.......I,ve been doing all my normal summertime crap, but Im starting to feel the need to hold the long rods soon.......cant wait!!!!!.....I did have a very unusual occurrence last weekend......caught a 120#-140# swordfish, alive, in the fort pierce inlet!!!!!.....with a gaff & a piece of rope........it was in obvious distress & I have no earthly idea how it ended up there, but I was the lucky one that was at the right place and time......Ill post a pic when I have a little more time.....I look forward to the upcoming slab-fest's, and seeing all you guys again.....best regards to all, Roy

Yum!! Swordfish steaks. I guess you were lucky. Bet that looked crazy hanging out the ends of a beach cart!

Glad to hear from you Roy & if memory recalls you were doing even better last spring when we ran into ya camping. Little hunting, lil' fishing, & some lady-friend action to top-"off" your trip, Yeppp.... no worries that olde minnowdrownder don't have it goin on. Them gobblers, however, have become domesticated, we must have seen 20 or better headed home along narcoossee in home's front yards & such, go figure.

Yep, I must be livin right or something.......It has been a good year regarding the outdoor stuff........got my 2 gobblers, finally managed a slot size snook in late spring, had a couple good days off shore, nailed a 100# plus tarpon about a month ago,the whole sword fish thing, and did pretty good on the lobster during mini season.......I'ts been a good year for sure......I hope its going great for all you guys too....
