    Default sunday

Planning on hittin the river to check on the bream and shellcrackers. Course that could change pending Stu's report on Monroe tomorrow and if I can find some crickets. Watched a feller on my lunch yesterday nettin the weeds at Lake Jessup park lookin for grass shrimp and he was not fairing well on his quest and I hate using worms.

    Cricket story--
Bluegills were biting like mad in Lake Griffin so got 100 crickets and went with son to tear them up. Fished and fished NADA, were in a little cove so released all the rest and they all made it to shore without a sign of a fish, haven't bought any more but plan on trying again when the moon is right.--shu

Shu, You gotta put them on the hook...and you gotta be careful where you get your crickets from...the Florida fish shy away from those out of Georgia! Maybe you better follow HS one day.

Not much to report Mike, we caught about a dozen dinks then the wind got nasty and we headed to the gator hole to find 3 other boats lol.

We found a few nice gills on jigs and then noticed the nasty storm coming in and called it a day. Sunday we head to Dorr to give it a roll.

Well my wife and I headed out with a tad later than usual start as she took her mom to see the Blue Man Group for her birthday and I knew better than to wake her up. Anyway was greeted by a beautiful day

and the fish were wiling and able to cooperate. Found some real nice sized bream and a few smaller shellcrackers home. Ended the day with 14 in the well and 15 to swim for another day

by 10:00 the wind was making it very difficult to keep the boat off the tops of em and they were shy today. Had a very LARGE gator trying his best to impress the ladies in the cove with us as well as a pod of manatees. Was surely a beautiful day and we were glad to be out. After the wind kicked up we trolled for about an hour with only some Warmouth wanting to join the fun. Anyway here they are taking a bath in some fresh clean water while waitin on the knife

    and in their Sunday finest

    oh and in this pic

that tree with the squirrel in it, is where they are

Are talking about the squirrel on the tree to the right or the one in the middle of the picture? ..... I thinks you be trying to steer the readers wrong! Also, in your photo you will see two TALL palms...the one furtherest to the right has a oak overhang...They were under there religiously every year except the last two years, but I still give it a try every time I go there. Old habits are hard to break!! Glad you caught em' .
