I dont' know much about those lakes up there except most are clear water. I maybe totally off base, but the crappie seem not to do as well for me in clear water as they do in stained etc. Crescent, George, Woodruff, Dexter, and the river would be my choice. Now if your after bream you should do well. Good luck and catch a bunch. Don't forget the Lake Monroe slabfest on April 7th. Lots of experience will be there.

I absolutely agree it looks sweet!! looked and studied this http://lakewatch.ifas.ufl.edu/Revise...catLakeMap.pdf and had planned on fishing it this fall, but Monroe was just too good. I would just go and SYG the lake( 10 poles W/2 baits a piece and troll till the battery went dead.)

And as Speckanator said there is another lake(can't remember the name) further west on 40 on the south side that is known real well in the parts for some superb bream fishing. Also on hwy 11 just south of 40 there is Lake Diaz, some killer night time speck fishing and some nice size specks to boot. Also some good bream fishing and catfish.

And hope to see ya at the slabfest.
