Is anyone other then me having trouble with the line pulling through the jig eye?? And are you having any fading problems with the yellow line. How's it working for you (trolling/jigging)??

Was having the jig eye problem a while back. Solved the problem by not buying them at wally world. Before you tie up use needle nose to make sure the eye is completly closed. Now order you some from litewirehooker.

Hey CD: When the Powerpoop line fades, it is still relatively good, as long as ultraviolet is not the reason for fade. Most braid is coated with color.

I use Trilene XL Armor Coated for crappie (aka baitfish once offshore season kicks in), after seeing at ICAST last year in Vegas. I've taken 8lb. test and bit 4-5 times over 3-4 inches, then stretched till breaking and can't believe how strong it is. A new extrusion heat technology makes a tough outer layer. This stuff seems tougher than fluoro...problem is, not everybody gets to test all the new products on the market...and if you like braid, you better try Spiderwire Ultracast Invisibraid for long casts and Spiderwire Stealth Braid if you like powerpro. Spectra is no match for the newer dyneema fiber.

BTW - there is a new line technology that won best of show award last year at ICAST. I've used it and nothing outcasts it - Berkley Nanofil Rocks! (but way too expensive and only avail up to 12 lb test)...good thing I'm sponsored...

Andy- Flourocarbon to braid w/uni to uni knot. New Power Pro Slick 8 has gotten great reviews- Comes in green, brown, hi-vis yellow. Just ordered a spool to try after recommendation from my brother up North. Smallest diameter is 10/2. Also, I don't like to use snaps/swivels, but that would be a fix for the escape fix. There are some really tiny ones available.

Like fishing the " powerpoop" line on windy days, and love the extra thump I feel on the bite. The jury is still out though, for me, as to changing to all spectra line. I do love my cheap red line.........never had any problems with it...just can't see it.....
