just got back from blue cypress lake stayed at middletons fish camp the people could not have been more helpful in searching for big specks unfortunately the spawn was over and we had to drift deeper water as well as beating the brush we met garyv out on his pontoon, he fishes more poles on a slow day than i can fit on my boat and really knows the lake those long poles are the only way to go .but even though the specks were scattered they where big but the shellcrackers more than made up for the lack of specks we got 4 over 12 inches which is pretty good by my standards and lots of 8 and 9 inchers blue cypress may be the best looking lake south af canada thanks again to all that helped it was my best trip in years
