    Default Return to "Honey Hole" for seconds


    Yelmin & myself returned to Honey Hole
    to make sure first trip was not a fluke.

    On water 7:05am, long-lined all day
    off water 4:03pm

    kept 11 fish, turned back 17 fish......

    11 fish kept weighed in 16 lbs, 8.9 oz.

    Top 7 fish for mock tournament weigh in
    came to 12 lbs, 1.6 0z..............

    Heaviest fish 1 lb, 15.5 oz

    Maybe those real big fish like to bite while its windy? Nice repeat trip though.

    Yesterday we was wishin it would blow a breeze. Also got a little warm. Specks weren't bitin very good. Fishin is fun, catchin is funner.

    Yelim & I coultn't stand it, had to go back for another shot..they were still
    there, didn't find any near the grass, reeds, or cattails........sure somewhat strange
    still hangin out in 6 - 8 ft water, in afternoon move to 10 -12 ft............stay low
    almost all the time.......1 - 2' off bottom...... females still very heavy with eggs..........

    Yelim's first catch of day - dandy 1 lb 15.3 oz - 15 1/4 inches long...............
    7 fish tournament weight for day 11 lbs. 9 oz...

    in process of outfitting Gheenoe with updated electronics to better check this pond
    out.............removed old hummingbird depth finder installed 597ci hd di - down
    imaging system. (Now will have unit that can move from Gheenoe to Procraft with
    complete markings, sets hot spot chip etc.) just add same tranducer, universal mount
    and power cord.........$172.00 in business.

    Still looking for that 3 pounder plus they say is in there. Lake _ _ _ _ _ _ produced a
    3 pound, 2.5 oz big one last May...saw pictures of that one from Polk County area.
