I am really looking forward to getting on some this year. I have not fished for them in like 15 years last time being on Lake Okeechobee on an airboat in the monkey box. I live in Orlando now and would like to find the closest area to catch them. Do they catch them the same way on West Lake Toho?
I really cannot answer for W. Toho, due to i have only fished for Spec's on in and then
in tournament mode, whereas everything is excellerated on fast pace coverning as much
water as possible to find spec's But would think along same lines, Full moon time,
lilly pads showing good growth, somewhat sand/loam bottom, 3 - 4ft water and temp
in high 70's, low 80's, fishing worms dead flat on bottom
nice
That last picture is a bass, that can't be no shellcracker. You got me thinking about heading to Pine Island Fish Camp located on Lake Griffin, there is a place there called the wall and during a certain time of the year there are close to a fifty to a hundred boats just pucking bluegills and shellcrackers. They use grass shimp on Lake Griffin, what is your favorite BG and SC bait 813.
crickets for Blue Gill & Medium size red worm for Shellcracker (redears) lightening fast
reflexes in the lilly pads
Roger & Terri said boats were stacked so tight Wednesday at Gobler ridge,
Kissimmee that they thought it was a sport convention..........boat marina....
Party time - they counted 60 plus boats in about 1/4 acre patch. Looked like
