    Default New guy

Been lurking for quite a while on your site and enjoy the pictures and posts. Grew up fishing crappie in Illinois and Indiana and just getting back into now that I am retired. Live in Jacksonville. Always looking for pointers and info. Went down and scouted Lochloosa and Sante Fe last week, they really looked nice. Always looking for new fishing partners. Has any body fished the lake Lowry on the south end of Camp Blanding?

welcome. I have fished all the lakes in Camp Blanding. Im in the Navy so i can go in through the base and fish Kingsley whenever i want. I fished Lowry and Magnolia this past December for the first time. I caught a few fish in both lakes but diddnt kill em. I think i caught 13 nice ones one day in Lowry and that was the best i did. If your from around this area dont overlook Georges lake either.

Welcome. Did you bring this cold weather with you from Indiana?

Cool h60mo.I am new on this site also.Lots of nice folks here.I fished Lowry yesterday in my friends boat so we targeted bass.caught 16 shorts, most on 7.5 cuprit worms. Not sure about fishing specs there.Water is clear and 66 at south end.very clear water.Southern young gun is blessed.I have tried for 2 years to get onto Kingsley.I am also retired, and usually fish during the week only.I always have room on my boat for one more, keep in touch.Wish i new you were around last month .I passed on the Pacetti spec tournry for lack of a partner.Lake Georges is great, but be careful if you launch at Jakes landing.I am out of Middleburg and fish for most anything in the lakes, creeks,River, and inner coastal.Lowry will be open at 6:00am to 6:30pm next monday only.
    Rick
