St. Johns River 10/20/10

First off, Hello every body this is my first post here. Its cool to have a forum dedicated to my favorite fresh water fish.


I grabbed some minnows on my way home from work and headed to to the ramp. We launched around 5pm from the 17-92 ramp Sanford side. I went straight to the marina but had no luck. Decided so try the bridge pilings. We jigged threw minnows and spinners but still nothing. About 6:30 we got hit, nice speck in the boat. We picked up a few more here and there and missed a few also. Would have liked to fished later but the mosquitoes ran us off. We took home 5 all about 3/4 to 1 pound. All on minnows fished 3-4 ft deep in 12 ft of water. My first specks of the season.
