lol your a joke man.... if your against wasting taxpayers money wildlife and fish biologist should be last on your list yet you want them to check out a fake big foot.. if your against waste you should be more upset bout government earmarks and other wasteful stuff then a few biologists per state that actually know what there doing and usually help improve a states fishery
Can U name one thing a biologist for any state wildlife and fisher agency does,that would make sense paying him 365 days a year plus a retirement...... ???????????No you cant.....W&F money would be wisely spent on research and removal of the aquatic plants that clog our lakes and water ways..With less of our nation youth hunting and fishing every day,we need to figure attractive fun ways to involve more of our young people...Wasted payroll dollars could be spent on small game habitat(purchasing,enhancing)..............the joke is on all sportsman when we get little are nothing for our dollars.The next time you talk to a state W&f Biologist ask him how many days he out in the field versus sitting in his office.Quote:

for you to sit here throughout this thread and degrade biolgist means 2 things.. 1 that you really dont care bout the state of your huning and fisheries since these are the people who help manage millions of acres of land for hunting and thousands of streams,ponds, and rivers for you to fish in... and 2 you have no idea what a biologist does
the next time you see some yahoo filling his bucket with undersized fish and over the limit fish and you get mad and call game warden, remeber without the biologist there wouldnt be any limits for anything whatsoever..
and speaking of waste, ask what your average politician actually does for work compared to a lowly paid biologist
It makes no sense to waste tax payers dollars on personal...........We know how to kill the aquatic grass and have for a long time........We also have had machines that will harvest these aquatic evaders......Ive been watching several of the harvester set ideal near a barn in a field for over a year know....It takes money to run these machines........The direction on how to apply the poisons to kill grass can be provided from the mfg and seller of the product..We need to use our tax dollar more effectively......Also big fancy truck,4x4,4 wheelers are very costly to us tax payers very costly.......So yes john i do want to eliminate some un-necsary position's public pay roll and use that money wiser:)Im for people being able to catch and eat most any fish they catch ...i dont believe public lakes should be managed for Trophy fish to the exclusion of others..John i believe each individual should decide for himself what size perch they are going to keep and eat....Quote:

also even with these limits most lakes that are popular still need to be stocked to supplement the spawn, and you do neeed someone who can decide what type and how many fish should be stocked so it doesnt overpopulate a lake so all you have is stunted fish or a species gets stocked someplace where it would be detrimental to fish populations...if you think anyfish should live anywhere i got a ton of asian carp, snakeheads, lampreys, and gobies i can ship to you.
as for the machines sitting idle and needing money to be ran.. you can thank your politicians for 4 dollars a gallon gas which is probably the reason they arent being ran, or are yougonna blame biologist for the high costs of gas or the fact funds from licensing get diverted from non sportsman related activities.

People should be able to catch them a mess of fish( of any size)And kept them to eat.....Without the government telling them anything.........No humane should be made a criminal because of his or her's fish eating choices!!!........We need to privatize most if not all our state needs for biologist.......so we can get better fish and game habitat...Its been pointed out how little they (biologist & game wardens get payed that work for state Agency's)they get payed for a important job....Hopefully in the private sector the pay will be better as will the demands to produce habit.....What can you aspect from any man who go's to work every day knowing he is getting paid half as much as his job is minimally worth..Its the State Agency who do the degrading......And i for one want it to stop....I want way better results for our tax dollars that go to fish and game.....I dont wont more government...I want the private sector to have a chance improve our dwindling wild life and fish habitat.....:)You will find that everybody that thinks different than you John is not bad....Common sense tells us right in front of our eyes our resources are dwindling~~~maybe if we stop doing the same old thing the same old way we might have an chance at improvement:)Quote:

i expect you think that the private sector is gonna buy all this land also and the lakes and operate them at a loss also? either that or everything will be pay lakes cause no private person is gonna spend 10s and hundreds of millions of dollars on lands and lakes to let people take all the fish and wildlife they want out of them.....

matter of fact name me your home pond or lake and me and a bunch of friends will come down there and gillnet every fish out of the lake for you to show you what it will be like
Fish been around along time,probably be here after we all gone.Pollution and grass is the main concern,not gill nets.
