#2Youall know the little 2 man bass buggies,right?A few years back the lake bite was tough,Bass fishing.We get the brite idea to load up the little boat next weekend and fish strip pits.We havent used that boat for probably close to 10 years for fishing.We head to the pit,get our gear ready and take off.Kinda unstable,but it takes getting used to again.We actually starting to get in the fishing ,my friend is up front on the TM,I just wanted to fish for a change,without worrying about boat control, positioning,etc.Fishing a texas rigged worm.I feel he familiar tap,crank down on it,set the hook,and realize at that instant moment that the seat just fit in a rail on the sides of the boat.Oh yeah,fell in the drink,terrified of snakes,my feet touch that creepy stuff under water,came up screaming and trying to get back in the boat.The same afternoon i put a for sale sign on it,and the next day sold it to a guy that thought it was the best deal ever.

I had a 14' older V bottom Jon boat the I placed petastool seats in. Well I'm kinda cheap so I boat the 2 bases, seats and swivel bases at Wolly World. Didnt even think about needing hardware. Well along with cheap I am also lazy and didnt want to go to the local Hardware shop ( 1 mile down the road). So I got everything in ok but for the seats I didnt have the right screws to fasten them to the base. Sine my Father in law was going to be in the front and he weighs more than I do i put the bigger screws in his seat and for mine I ended up putting in some little cheapose. Well I went to set the hook on a monster Crappie and the front two screws popped out and with backwards mometum...... I almost went in. The back srews stayed in (some how) and I caught my leg on the cooler that was next to me. I almost lost My father in law due to him laughing himself almost into a heart attack.

My brother and I roomed together many years ago, and we both like to fish so you know what we did every chance we got. 2 trips come to mind. We entered a tournament with a bunch of guys he worked with. We lived close to downtown Orlando, and had to keep most of the boat gear in the grudge. I get all my tackle ready the night before, and he rigged the boat cuz he had the day before off. Pull up to the ramp at dark:30 and I put in the plug. Go to hook up the fuel line- no gas tank. He dropped the boat and I fished around the ramp while he ran for an hour and a half to get the tank.
The other I didn't witness but came in on the back end. Jim had taken 2 friends to Titusville to load up on the sea trout the paper said were jumpin in the boat. 14' runabout with a pedestal seat(cheap walmart variety) mounted on the front deck. One of the guests was about 325lbs and not too graceful. Fishin was slow and the big guy stood up to cast, lost his balance, and fell back against the side of the boat and the seat at the same time. With the center of gravity so high from the front seat, and Jim leaning back at the wrong time, The boat flipped upside down in about 12 ft of water. This is January. He comes up after the flip with all his rods, and the rest goes to the bottom permanently. The tackle box was mine, full of lures and his car keys. I always questioned that"I won't drop them in the water theory" before this, and never let him forget it after. While they were picked up by a passing boater and dried out, I had to come with the spare keys. On a motorcycle. In January. That was 25 yrs ago and he still gets an occasional reminder.
