    The boys and I were ice fishing today and my youngest turned to me and asked a question that I thought was pretty neat. He asked why we fish 12 feet deep with a 2 foot rod through the ice and 2 feet deep with a 12 foot rod in the spring. I had never thought about it before. I thought it was funny, because he was so serious.
