There is a small river about 4 miles from where I grew up. A couple of years ago I took my mom and daughter fishing while my dad was busy one day. There are some decent crappie and some good bass, but we were fishing for Longear Sunfish (we always called them Red Perch) and my mom caught one. I took it off for her and there was a crayfish in its mouth. She knew I got something, but didn't realize what it was. I stuck that crayfish on my hook and as soon as my hook got in the water good I snagged about a 2 LB bass on my jig pole. It was a good memory.
